Get rid of the margarita snails. Most of the ones (though not all) seem to be from colder waters and will die in a few months in a tropical system. If they have coprraline on their shell they may be tropical though.
I don't like hermit crabs, & the only ones I'd put in my tank would be scarlet reef hermits. They eat tons of algae and aren't too prone to killing snails. I would suggest nass snails, nerites, astreas, & ceriths. The ceriths and nass will clean/stir the sand bed, the nerites will stick mostly to the glass and the astreas will clean rocks/glass. For a 20 I'd go with 10-15 nass, 6 ceriths, 4 nerites, & 6 astreas, though you will have to change that to incorporate your current snails, planned stocking levels, algae levels, feeding levels etc. Dan

Mexican turbos and an unchin seems to be all I need in My 120!
But astreas and ceriths are nice too, Hermits are to hostile to keep with snails so I dont suggest them. |
