sps question
i got 2 acro's yesterday and put them in my tank and i noticed today that the top polyps on all the very tops of the branches are not coming out and staying out, a few maybe just poke out of a bit then go back down. some are not coming out at all and the tips look a little rough, possibly from shipping or taking them home i guess. i has a 1200GPH power head pointed at them, the lower polyps were extending, but i thought it might be too much so i moved it and they still are not coming out. should i put the power head back to blasting in between them, or use a smaller power head, or keep it how it is? what should i try?

Leave them alone. Don't "blast" them. It is common for the axial coralites or "tip" polyps to extend only at night. Main thing is to not move them much at first and let them acclimate for a week or two before relocating them and changing them around too much.

I agree. They don't need to be too close to 1200 gph powerhead. Give it some time as well. As long as your parameters are fine it should be alright. I have sps that won't do anything for a few months, and then just takes off for some reason.
