6 x 39w T5 HO retro hood? what could i keep in here?

im planning on getting a t5 ho retro kit 6 x 39w for my 65g tall curently it has 2x65w pc lighting. what are my limits for the new retro it? each bulb has individual reflectors. i dont wanna get a small stepup i wanna get a light that i can keep till led's become practical

i can get 8x39w for a extra $60 is that worth the extra money?

i put a 2x250w halide retro kit in my hood and my water went up to like 84 when i came home from work so thats not on the tank anymore. i want good light without the crazy heat of a halide and i was told t5 ho would be a good choice. what is recomended? noob reefer just needing answers.

THANK YOU GUYS A TONS

What's the measurements of your 65g 36x?x? If its 18" wide a 6x 36" retro will allow you anything you want as long as its got nice reflectors like Icecap's or tek's. If the tank is 24" wide an 8x36" will work best imo.

It should be 36"x18" but 25" deep..... I would say the 6 bulb fixture would work well for you....
