korallin power heads

hey everyone, i'm new to the site and am looking into some of the korallin magnetic powerheads. they will be going into a 40 breeder and i will be keeping predominantly zoanthids and montipora. my question is A: what sizes would you recommend and B: where is the best place to order them online? thanks in advance for your help

I have never seen a Korallin PH. Are you referring to the Hydor Koralia?

If so, I think a few #2's will be fine.

I am using a 3 and have two MJ 1200s in my 40B. I am thinking about getting another 3 and removing my MJs. I got mine local but the good Dr.s have them on sale.

I put two in my tank and the flow and circulation of these PHs for the price is AMAZING! Wouldn't use anything else unless I was given Ecotechs.

hmm.. the doctor has em cheaper...

and.. um.. 53% savings?? yeh, considering they say they normally sell for damn near $100.00 for the 4's ... the doctor has em all the time for $60.00. What a joke.

Petmountain has the #4's year round for $46.95 so drs sounds like the joke at $60 to me.

Notice the prices they show are in green? meaning that they are not onsale but those are there normal prices?

Looking at both sites right now:

Petmountain
$46.95 $98.99 Save 53%

DFS
$44.99 $59.99

The 98.99 from Petmountain is crossed out and the 59.99 from DFS is crossed out. Petmountain uses the MSRP to make it look like you are getting a big savings not the price that most sell the product for. I have never seen DFS sell these higher than 44.99, have seen them cheaper, since they came out.

I know that we are all trying to save a buck, but try buying at your LFS if they are worth it. I know mine is, as I gladly pay his markups in support of them.
I also know that if I had an emergency my LFS owner would be over to help in a heartbeat. Even if it is 3am

I totally agree with supporting LFS, if you have one that is within a hour drive, gawd I love living in the middle of nowhere, but when I do get a chance I still go to a couple of LFS within the city.
