Are you feeling lucky?

Talk about Dirty Harry. I don't think I'd want one of those in a "peaceful" tank...

"So I guess if you want a pistol shrimp you cant have any other shrimp?"

Reefers who typically have Pistol Shrimp are unaware that they were imported unbeknownst to them via live rock with or without corals attached. They can be very colorful/attractive and the repetitive sound of clicking is a sure sign that you have one or a Mantis Shrimp. I try to dip as much of the rock I can in fresh water to prevent entry to my system.

I am really glad I saw this. I have an online order placed that included some pistol shrimp (plus some other shrimp). I am going to have them removed from the order - when they were described as reef safe I guess that just means they won't be eating my corals (no mention that they will kill the other shrimp!)
