Six Line Wrasse

Mine just got ick! I took him out of the display tank and put him in my quartine tank. He is now flipping around like he is dead. What do I do?

Hypo salinity, if he makes it. Is this the first cycle of cysts it has seen?

Also, all your other fish will have ich shortly as well.

Check out this thread with loads of useful links with treatment. I would personally do Hypo on all the fish and leave the display tank fishless for 4-6 weeks.

Your inverts will not be infected with ich.

Treat your fish in a QT with hypo, leave the inverts in the display.

Ich is a parasite and needs a host to live. Its only host in the aquarium is fish. Since the life cycle is 6-8 weeks of ICH, you should remove all fish and wait out the parasites life cycle. In theory you should then be ready to add back in ICH FREE fish...

I have done this once and it is by no means fun. I have NOT had breakouts since returning fish to display.
