Cheap vinyl tubing?

Looking for 3/4" ID vinyl tubing...anyone know where I can get some?

What's weird is that Lowes and HD prices for 5/8" is about 30 cents per foot. But that jumps to close to $2 per foot for 3/4"!

Which LFS have this tubing for a bit cheaper? =)

Thanks.

If I remember correctly, you are staying in South Sac. I would try exotic aquarium located on franklin Blvd between 47th and fruitridge. It should be located by the pond material. HTH

The price jumps because the pressure differences in the uses, even though it is only 1/8th inch thicker, the material must be much stronger for higher pressure. I think I'm explaining this poorly, but I hope you understand what I'm trying to say. The point is even at a LFS it may not be much cheaper because they don't actually produce the tubing, but maybe they make different products for different uses so it is not as strong. If you do find thinner (= less expensive) material for aquarium use we don't have the kind of pressure to make a difference so it will not be a problem.

Ahhh! Thanks for the replies.

I got some from Exotic Aquarium...but you're right, Dave E, I got some of the thin-walled stuff and the intake on the canister filter kinked on me. I had to go find some of the thicker wall stuff.

Live and learn.
