Seio 2600 or Maxi Jet mod???
If you were looking for high flow cheap which one would you chose and why. I know there are much better options and performers out there and I will eventually go with either a tunze or vortec set up but I am looking for something for the time being that is cheap (so it won't hurt as much when I have the funds to upgrade) and will give me in the area of 5000gph (2 units).

I have used both and to be honest i wouldn't really rate one over the other even though the 2600 is a huge pump 2 of those would take up some real estate.
The maximod is defiiently smaller and you will probably get a wider flow from the maxi will the seio will be better for directional |

Get the SureFlow kit for the maxi-jet. Works great, quick and simple, great flow, and not huge like the seio 2600.

I would also go with the High flow kit from Sureflow. I have 2 Seio 1100's and a Sureflow 1600 in my 75. The 1100's are even large in comparison to the Sureflow. The 2600's are gigantic pumps. There are no restart issues with the modded Maxijets either as the Seios are sometimes prone to.

Seems like maxi mod is the way to go. I have another post asking which pre built kit is the best and why. I am looking for feedback from people who have used the mod kits and I am looking for as much flow as possible. I've heard some decent things about the sure flow but I'm looking for more like 2500gph per power-head. Anyone have experience with the gulf stream 2 or the eco systems mod from two part solution?
