quick shrimp question

is it okay to keep a cleaner shrimp and a pistol shrimp in the same tank?

my buddy (who insists upon living his life without internet access) wants to add a cleaner to his 30G and asked me if it would work. i really don't know a whole lot about pistols.

thanks!

IIRC it was Tiff who had a great pic a while back of the goby caught swallowing her cleaner shrimp. It apparently got too close to the burrow.

I guess in this case, per Phil's share, Tiff's cleaner shrimp was not a quick shrimp [that's a little humor at the title of your thread].

It's a good question, but I'm wondering who would harm whom? Isn't the point of the pistol shrimp's pistol and reliance on a shrimp goby that he cannot defend himself (and harm other shrimp). Looking forward to responses from the knowledgeable...

Pistol shrimp use there pistol claw to stun shrimp so they can eat them. I have seen a video of this in action.

Cool video, quite dramatic. temperature of the sun eh?

I think my pistol shrimp got most of my peppermints. But I have no proof.
