Is this the right way to place a monti danae?
They usually come like this. But some people have told me that you have to place them laying down.

Put it so the polyps are facing upwards towards the light, or at least at an angle where they will get light. The coral will grow the way it needs to so it can thrive.
Remember, when a piece breaks off in a reef, theres no magic hand to come place it face up/down, left right, whatever. If it lands in a dark cave, bummer for the coral. If it lands where it can get light on at least some of the polyps, it will grow the way it needs to.
