Algae ID please
I got this on some carribean rubble a few months ago (almost a year ago actually!) and after a recent tank crash it hasstarted to grow for the first time. First one is most visible-several blade like things with small pads on them (the pads weren't there before the growth spurt) and the second is small tiny leafs-you can just barely see them. Both are soft and don't appear to be stiff or calcerous at all.....
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The small one is on the left, but its kinda hard to see.... Thanks for the help! Dan

The taller one looks to me like Caulaerpa racemosa peltata.
You might have some Enteromorpha in there, too. I can't quite make out the short one. Avrainvillia? Halimeda? I can't tell.

I've been there and done that. Well, most of it. I didn't get the T-shirt, though. Kinda got ripped off there... |

IS there anything I can do to make it any easier to ID assuming I don't have a better camera? THanks for the ID!
Dan

The only thing I see in that picture is the aforementioned Caulerpa peltata. If there is something else besides Caulerpa, could you describe it in further detail?
