I just have a couple of the coralLife 9W units - 1 on my 125 reef and 90 FOWLR. The main reason i picked it was the contact time from the spiral design and the price. It's also fairly easy to maintain too. I picked the (W just from the ratings given. the key is the amount of flow through the unit. Basically the slower the better so mine only runs like 200 gph or less with just a powerhead. I would have probably picked up at least a 15W after the fact though. Beter to a decent factor of safety.

I have a 40w pentair lifegaurd. An 18w coralife tubotwist and a 9w turbo twist. For me it's just a matter of space and where you want to put it. It's really just a bulb in a bottle.
