Any LFS near Hotel on Michigan?

I'm currently at a hotel on Michigan Avenue and will be traveling back to Champaign, IL tomorrow. Are there are places near here that I can get good zoas or rics, or on the way back to Southern IL? Cheap price is key

Only one that I know of is Old Town Aquarium on the North side of Chicago. I went into their shop about 4 months ago and it is a pretty neat looking shop. Don't remember if they were particularly stocked with Zoos or not.

Their web site is:

Their location can be found here:

If you're going to take 57 back there are a few stores in the southwest suburbs that wouldn't be too far. Look up Aquatica, Capture the Sea, Go Fish Aquariums, and Aquatic Environments. You can probably find cheap stuff at any of these places except Capture, he's kind of high on things. If you want to see some nice stuff go to Old Town, depending on where you are staying on Michigan it shouldn't be much more than a 5 minute cab ride. I think its on Wells just south of North Ave on the west side of the street. Its a real cool place but the prices will tell you how they make it so cool.

old town is your only bet in the city. you can get pretty close to there on redline, but it's still a good walk for most.
