What to acans need to eat?

I just picked up a colony of aussie acan and am wondering what others that have them now are feeding them. I've read they can grow pretty fast when fed well.

Mouths are pretty small, cyclops or phyto or maybe mini-mysis? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Anything you'd feed your fish. I don't target feed my acans, but they do get plenty of food when i feed my fish.

I make a mix of mysis shrimp, some daphnia, and some cyclopleeze and then target it.

They like a variety of meaty foods such as krill, squid etc. you just have to chop them with scissors to get them down to a digestible size.

If you feed regularly I'd recommend getting some Arti-pods from Reef Nutrition, they are much more convenient and won't mess up your water quality like frozen foods (no detrimental binders like frozen food)

HTH =)

Ditto on Jen's recommendation. The new artipods from RN are awesome; they sink instead of float.

I feed mine every other day - mysis or cyclopeeze, using a turkey baster. Target feeding promotes faster growth.
