Is Aiptasia mounting a take over?

Okay,

So my reef tank is coming along nicely. All parameters within limits. My few corals and single fish (Yellow Tang) doing fairly well.

Last night I added two pieces of Frogspawn and today I see some suspicious stary white specs beginning the cover my glass.

What does Aiptasia look like when it starts to spread? And should I scrap the glass?

I would take a picture but they are too small.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Look here for aptesia under anemone's. http://www.melevsreef.com/id/
Also you need to add least aggresive to most aggresive for better chance. The tang with pic on everyother less aggresive fish added.

The white spots could be hydroid jellyfish. See if they look like this:

My guess is Coralline seed, or regular ole algae seed; I had it for a while after starting my tank, I let it stay on there for a few days to see what it turned into, and just grew into green algae. Leave it alone and see what it does.

Scott, It looks identical to the hydroid jellyfish pic you posted. What is their deal? Pest, plague, harmful or helpful?

I just recently ID'd the ones in my tank. From what I've read, they are pretty much reef safe and seem to come and go with little consistency. It seems they will appear in large numbers only to disappear a short time later. I suspect they are just another part of the food chain like pods and such. I don't know that I've ever seen any of my fish eat them, but then again, I don't have any wrasses or mandarin types of fish. I would leave them be and let them live out their life cycle.
