need to modify my setup 125gal

ive been running a 125 sps w/ diy rubbermaid sumps. the sump consisted of 2 1200 gph ovrflows draining into the rubbermaids and a mag 9.5 return. i moved to a new apt and am on the 3rd floor and the neighbors have already complaind about water leaking. i need a bullet proof sump setup, nothin too expensive. but something guaranteed not to leak and that i can incorporate my mag 9.5 return. any suggestions? is there somethin i can just purchase w/ out having to modify a fish tank or build my own?

If you have the money you can certainly buy an acrylic sump. Most of the online vendors sell them and usually they are available at your LFS as well.

do u think i can get one for under 200, i wanted something i could fit under the stand.

I would feel VERY nervous with a 125g tank on a third floor. That's a lot of weight and most apartments aren't built to support that much weight. A full 120 is well over a ton.

you should probably get the tank drilled, and find the largest tank you can fit under the stand for a sump. i would probably use a 40 long. keep the water level in the sump about half, and you should be fine. what caused your leaks before?

drilling is not an option, it was hard just getting the thing up there ille buy a hangon protein skimmer and call it a day before i lift that thing again.
it starting leaking just from me going the cheap route and using rubber maid totes. i didnt do the best job of sealing them up. now i want to get something efficeint and ment for the task.
as far as weight i was pretty nervous at first but ive had the tank full w/ no problems for about 6mts. can anybody give me a link of something i can just plug and play. also 40 gal wont fit.

You can get an inexpensive sump tank at glasscages.com, I have used their 50 and 65 gal tanks for sumps and you can easily customize them for your system.

Back in the day, I had a water bed in a flop house partment building. You can do it, just find the right place.

I bought an MRC reef sump, and am very happy with it. A bit expensive though, 399.

(and I dont care about the whole mrc story either,, alot of good people working there and a top notch outfit)
