Pain fumes?

I'm getting ready to paint the wall that my fish tank sits against, should I worry about the paint fumes? Something tells me that I should. If so, If I open the windows and put a fan on, would that take care of the problem?
Thanks,
Jeff

ventilation is the main key while painting. But to be on the safe side id open windows and wrap the tank up in a blanket covering it top to bottom. Ya dont want any paint to drop into the tank. BTW its awfully cold in the buckeye to be painting lol

Very cold, 28 deg. right now, flurried all day but just a dusting on the ground. Like to get the painting done before Christmas so I might have to brave the cold for a little while.
thanks,
Jeff

Ha- Ill finish up painting my kitchen tonight, which is right between my 2 big tanks. This 28 degree stuff is B^!!$(*t, but Id rather have my windows open and be cold for a couple hours than worry about my tanks (and birds) being exposed to paint fumes. Ive done a lot of painting around my tanks, and as long as there is decent ventilation you shouldnt have any problems.

Depends on the skimmer you are using and whether or not you have an open top tank. I panted my daughters room last week an my skimmer went nuts. If you are not using carbon add some and keep an eye on your skimmer.

I agree with the above post to turn off your skimmer. Mine when crazy for a day after painting.
