question on upgrading MH

Hi, I currently have 2 175w MH that has 2 quick disconnects to one ballast. I think my lights are acting. Not sure the bulbs are the ballasts. It takes a long time for one to come up.. it will try and goes off and the another one is not working for sure. So I'm thinking eitehr I can buy new bulbs to try or I just want to upgrade them to 400w.

my question is "do I need to get a new pendant?" if I replace the 400w and ballasts?

what ballast is recommended that has quick disconnect?

Please advise.

Jeff

If the bulb is trying to turn on and sometimes half way through and shut off, does it mean something wrong with the ballast or the bulb?

Once it's turned on all the way, it will stay on.

all depends on how long you've been running the bulb. Halides do give out over time. Only way to really find out is to get another bulb and test.
