I am done making my 2 part.

Is there a way to test to see the PPM of my Alk, Cal, and Mag mix? Can I use a normal test kit? It will take like 50 million drops haha. Thanks for any input on how I can get this done.

I suppose you could dilute it and then mulitply the results by the dilution factor. Use RO water so you are not adding anything. For instance, if the alk part is supposed to be 1,900 meq/l and you diluted it 1:500, your test kit should read about 3.8 meq/l. If there is something in the RO water that reacts with the baking soda, then it would not be accurate, but I don't know how else to do it. Ca & Mg would be more straight forward. Why do you need to do this? If you measured accurately, its almost impossible to be too far off.

Well, the calcium I used was not dowflake. It has a higher % of Calcium in it. I just wanted to test the others just for my information.

Yes, better to be safe than sorry, but the ultimate test is what happens in your tank, so add a lot less than you think you need and test. Should be easy enough to test what you made up by diluting it as suggested.

I'd try it in the tank and watch the parameters closely for a couple of weeks. The dilution approach will work in theory, though.
