Does anyone else keep a detailed paper-trail of daily readings and activities?

I know some of the more established tanks might not need this, but am I being overly obsessive by keeping a detailed trail of every observation I make, from feeding habits, to parameters to to adding certain items to my tank etc.

And if you are, is there some qicked program out there to graph this for me or am I going to have to excel spreadsheet this to manipulate my data.

Thx

there are programs but if you make your own in excel it will be easier to modify for your specific needs.
I keep track on a weekly basis now of the chemistry but that's all.

It's a very good job, and a fantastic idea, my hats off to ya! I however don't want to leave a paper trail that can be used against me at a later date, so far only a few mistakes can be proven, and even those are fuzzy.

I use Excel and just graph it from there. Just keep my laptop right by where i test and enter as I go.

I used to keep track of EVERYTHING with a spread sheet. However, once my total expenditures on my tank approached that of a new car, I decided to stop keeping records and running totals.

actually since I went on the b-ionics two part --I only measure once a week--and there is next to no change in water parameters. Nothing to really keep record about---and more time to spend on RC
