scientific name of green star polyps?
i just got one today ( one of my first corals [= )
and im keeping a record of everything im adding to my tank and so i was just wondering what the scientific name was. i googled it and i came up with some different answers i have heard Briarium asbestinum and zoanthus... somthing. having the scientific name isnt exactly necessary but id like to know it. thanks !! |

umm im not sure but according to "coralidea" zoanthus are types of zoanthids

Scientific Name: Pachyclavularia violacea Common Misidentification: Often confused with Family Clavulariidae, Clavularia viridis species Clove or Glove Polyps Coral, which is incorrect... : ) |

There are a few different species of star polyps in the hobby. Briareum and Pachyclavularia are the two genera usually called star polyps in the hobby.
Zoanthus is a genus of zoanthid like Super Stooge said.
