essential reef books

My graduating class is now required to complete a senior project for which I will be creating a reef tank. The project includes a product (the tank) and an 8-10 page research paper.

What I'm looking for now are a couple books that are "must-haves" in the reef keeping hobby to base my paper on.
Maybe some essential reference books as well.
Basically any books that you think are necissary in the hobby, shout 'em out.

Thanks, Jake

You must have these 2 books,They are really good for the beginning aquarist: 1.The simple guide to Marine aquariums by Jeffrey Kurtz
2.The new marine aquarium by palleta

You can find them at amazon.com.

Eric Borneman's "Coral, care and husbandry" is one of the best.

and

Fenner's "Conscientius Marine Aquarist"

Calfo's "Book of Coral Propagation"

My question is if you're getting ready to graduate, what's the plan for the tank?

Its not gonna be easy to move and we here tons of stories on RC about how a tank was left in the care of a parent who killed everything.

Just make sure you have a plan that'll work or I'd say get another project.

I'm graduating in 2010 so I'v got a little bit of time to work things out. I'm just getting a head start since this is such a long term project.
My parents are also pretty interested in it so I think by the time I leave they'll be able to take care of it.
I appreciate your concern.
