I am planning on doing DIY zero edge, does anyone know a good place that has really good pricing on .5" acrylic? Everywhere I have found is right at $10 sq/ft cut

im sure you have tried the major places Regal piedmont, and Plastic supply.. Usually Regal has the best prices..close to average.....how much do you need a sheet? Two?
What size of aquarium are you making?

I just picked up some acrylic for a sump a couple of days ago from Plastic Supply on Candelaria (right next door to Coral Island).

For a 1/4", 24 gallon sump it came out to about $4/sqft cut (and took about 5 minutes).

For a zero edge, you might consider going with glass, since you'll probably be scraping a lot of coraline on both sides. Though I'm not really familiar with how zero edges are built...

zero edge are actually acrylic and somehow not much cleaning is needed (a friend has one) I think it may be due to the flowign water on the edge maybe.... changed my mind on the size started to build the stand today (got most of the framing done) and am going to go with a 24x18x18 instead...I knew this would happen thats why my orginal plan was so small, will be calling regal tommorrow and hopefully starting to build the tank wed.
