clown killing an anemone??

Hey guys,

I just bought a $150 stunningly gorgeous rose bubble tip with a purple base and short pink tentacles.
My clown immediately started hosting it, however, i just noticed it shrinking.
Is it possible the clown is trying to kill or harm the anemone?
I'm very confused and don't know what to make of it.
I also noticed the clown trying to pry the anemone off the rock it has attached itself to.

Any thoughts, comments?

If it is a maroon, they are very rough with small anemones. The anemone should be twice as big as the clown. If it is still streeing the anemone you might want to remove the clown for awhile so the anemone can get setteled in.

OMG. That's terrible.
I had no idea they can kill anemones.
I thought they are supposed to protect the anemone, not kill it.
I should probably find a way to get rid of my clown.

You could go with false perculas, cinnamon are really rough on anemones. The percs some times take awhile to host a bta, some go right away and some never do.the clown is not out to kill the anemone, it's loving it to death.

do they usually try to move the anemone to a better location?
do they do that because they don't like where they are situated or something? it's so interesting to see the clown trying to move or push the anemone.. Why do they do that?

I'm not sure that the clown really cares where the nem ends up, so long as he has a home. Typically what ends up happening is that the clown will beat the heck out of the nem, just by loving it too much. Nothing vindictive or anything, just buffeting it constantly. Sadly, this is a concept not passed along by the LFS to most people, and thus a large number of deaths can be attributed to this simple concept. Small clown, big nem is the best way to go.
