Best sleekest MH out there

I'm brand new to MH and getting them for my tide pool tank 48"x18"x13" and am thinking about two 150W MH and have no idea what to get. I want something that won't run up my electric bill to much, is very sleek(needs to look good-artys tank), and will last and not be a huge fire hazard(electronic ballest(sp)). Also where do you guys store your ballest? I was thinking of in my stand with a deticated cooling fan on them? I need all you pros out there opinion!

geissmann fixtures are way sleek, but they are also way spendy.
most ballasts generate significant heat, so you'd be better off to leave it outside the stand.

Don't be afraid of magnetic ballasts. You'll get more output with a magnetic ballast.

Be careful of "sleek", but I understand the desire for good aesthetics. With lighting, your primary concern is getting light to your tank inhabitants. Make sure the reflector meets your needs. A nice looking and expensive fixture won't be very good if it doesn't have an adequate spread for your tank dimensions.

Well I'm planing on only keep a few sps corals so lighting dosn't need to be that spread out. I accually want a light that will just shines down so that I don't have light in my eyes bulbs when I sit on my couch. I still don't know where i'm gonna store my ballast

Yeah it looks like there the ones to get. I might get them but I can't seem to find out if their ballast are in the lights or are external. I can't even find out on their site. I might just save up for this light since My tanks need to run for about 4-6 months before I even think about adding sps corals. I like them to because they have an anti glare that it won't shine in my eyes when I sit and watch tv. Anyone know if there is a place that sells them for like not a million dollars

I agree with Bebo77...I like my Sfili as well...a bit bulky but it does give good light coverage. I like the reflectors they used...looks like Lumenarcs. Few people like David (Fliger) had some issues with them. I never have any issues with my fixture but I have my Maristar as a back up just in case.

Those elos one are really cool as well...was going to get those when I ordered my elos tank but Jesse did not have the 250w fixtures so I ended up buying the Sflilis....
