mesh-modding a mj1200

I'm looking to mesh-mod my mj1200 that's on my hang-on fuge skimmer combo and wasn't completely sure how to do it. First off, I was going to use the gutter guard from my cpr overflow and enkamat, but I want to know if I need to cut the impeller blades down a little for extra room for the gg and enkamat. I was also wondering where to tie the fishing line to hold the gg and enkamat in place. Any info or help wold be greatly appreciated, thanks

I already read through that thread but it left me confused on how to sew it on with fishing line, but now I think I figured out how to do it. I just want to make sure that I do it right and that the gg and enkamat stay on the impeller tightly.
