Regulator servicing

How many of you guys/gals service your own regulators as opposed to going to a dive shop?

I have done minor things with the reg but not the 1st stage... I know that you can get the training that would allow you to do all the reg work but it isn't that expensive to get it serviced so hey, I just take it in!!!

I highly recommend that you send your equipment to a dive shop with qualified technitian or in our case to our tech service dept for its annual service or problems you don't want your equipment in a questionable status when you go diving

Yes. But I'm certified to service them by the manufacturer and have the right tools, manuals and parts. Without those It is REALLY not a good idea. The best of intentions and desire to save a few dollars is not worth it. Diving and reefkeeping share a common thread. Only bad things happen fast.
