Rustoleum Plastic the same as Krylon Fusion?
I cant seem to find any Krylon fusion around here, but I did run across some Rustoleum Plastic Spray Paint, and was wondering if it can be used in reef tanks like the Krylon version can?

No it can not be used on any surface exposed to water, such as inside the tank or its interior parts, like pipes, power heads, bulkheads etc., where Fusion is often used.

I've painted everything using the RustOleum, so I'm interested in this. I have a PH painted, eggcrate, PVC - in two tanks - and have found it to be very fast drying and tough. Plus coraline grows over it faster than bare pvc IME.
The one time I used Krylon it bubbled and peeled and was all shiny and crappy, so I have always used the RustOleum. jp

I do not have a informed answer, only that others have had issues not to use it in the tank. It looks like Big has had some good success. A long search shows other have also used it with success.I have never heard of any issues when using Krylon. It may be the long term break down. I do not want to pick on Big but according to his own sig he has only had a tank for less than a year ~ 9 months. So, I suppose you could try it but you are on your own

thanks Boomer, I will be wary in the future unless I hear otherwise. It is silly when you think that coraline covers everything in a few months anyways.

It is silly when you think that coraline covers everything in a few months I would not say that as some have problems getting it to do anything and often whine about "why can't I get coralline." So you are doing OK here
