Since we're on the topic of sharing horses, I figured I'd dig up a picture for you.
Here is a picture of my baby from when I was little. His name was Frisco. Don't mistake his short stature for kindness because he really did live up to his name. I was the only one that could ride him. I had him up until I was 12, then we moved here to the US and they wanted to keep in QT for an unhealthy amount of time to bring him across the border. For his own health, we left him stabled at a friend's place in Alberta.
Here is a horse that I rescued while on a visit to Kentucky in 10th grade. This poor baby was abandoned on this lot across from my friend's grandparents house. The large wound on her face went straight down to the bone and was full of maggots. She had no shelter and a big belly full of worms. My friend and I took a hose out and gave her a good wash/brush down to cool off from the 98 degree heat. When I got back to Indy, I called the humane society and they came out and took her. If I had had a place to stable her, I would have adopter her. She ended up going to a good home.
