3 gal picotope.

Hello all..... Just thought I would share some pics

First setup with the crappy 9watt PC that came with it

Fuge.

Right now im using a 36" fixture untell my 12" 36W Current usa fixture comes in this thurs. (I know its ugly, but it works for now)

The stock 9W PC being used as a fuge light

After aquascaping for sometime. I settled with this layout.

I have a tunze mini power head rated for like 75gph, coming in today. Its TINY!.

Stocking plans are...

Zooanthids.
rics
shrooms
gsp
xenyas
Candy cane
small brain(Maybe)
Montipora digitata

Right now i have 2 ceriths, 2 hermits. a colony of Zoas and two red shrooms.

Tanks been running for about 6 days now. Salifert test kits read -
PH 8.2
Nitrate 10ppm
Nitrite undetectable
ammonia undetectable

I have the same tank with a 12 inch coralife on mine. You will love the way your thank looks once you take the stock lighting off. Your tank will brighten up and be sweeeet! Here is mine.

mrapisura, thats a nice tank man. I have my 12" current usa coming in tomorrow.

buttons buster. I use the stock HOB filter with Purigen and a floss pad. Then i use a AquaClear 20 as a refugium. I change about 1 gallon every week using Catalina ocean water.

JmLee was I right or what? The tank looks great with the light and your corals look nice too. How is your flow with the Tunze? I just noticed that you had a blue background on your tank. Did you paint it? The colors really come out when all the light isn't escaping out the back.

great start. the aquascaping is well done. those little tunze pumps are great....i ran one on a 2gal pico a few years back.

for those of you interested in those pumps, zoo-med makes the exact same pump...odds are cheaper too.

Hey guys sorry I've been MIA for a while.

MRAPISURA - Yes i painted the backround. I used a dark blue instead of a light blue =).

Flint&Eric - Yeah the tunze power head is absolutely perfect for a aquarium this size.

ILM75Dodge - I Have no clue, It's about 1/2" of sand. I figured a DSB in a tank this small would be kinda pointless. And i didn't want to go barebottom so i just added a thin layer of sand.

I'll have some more updated pics in a few days =).

What up man, I think one of those Tunze power heads would be great. You can adjust the flow by turning the outlet.

Just some updated pics.

Tons of starfish..

I decided to mount the fuge light sideways. Since the Aqua clear is transparent, hanging the fixture this way really helps to light up the fuge. The HOB fug is working well, I already had to pull out some of the cheato.

InLimbo87 - Im using a 50 watt visitherm stealth heater and my temps are incredibly stable for such a small tank. 95% of the time my tank is in the 77F-78F. Ever once and awhile it will hit 79F. It doesn't even matter if i leave my windows open at night or if i leave the windows closed during the day, It's always at those temps.

reefman12 - So far, I have spent about $200 on the setup alone =(.

Thanks for the replies guys.
