LPS Sweeper Tentacles

How long will the sweeper tentacles reach on an LPS? How far away do I need to place other corals from them, specifically from Euphyllia sp.?

it really depends on which type you're talking about. things like caulastrea (sp) and trachyphylia dont have long sweepers, where as things like bubbles, etc have long ones. i usually see how far a euphyllia can expand and keep everything 1-2" away from that mark.

Thanks very much for the response. From what I've read it seems that seven inches or so is not unlikely for them to reach. I should NOT have listened to the LFS guy.

I was specifically looking for non-aggressive corals that wouldn't harm my softies. Being ignorant and new to reefkeeping I took his advice and bought a Euphyllia glabrescens and a Euphyllia paranchora. They are beautiful, but apparently not friendly to other corals. Next time I'll be reading before buying!
