wavemaker/timer for Vortec

I have the vortec powerhead . Its the one with the motor outside the tank and the impellor inside held together on the glass. It is made by Ecotec.

My understanding is that Ecotec doesn't have a wavemaker controller for it. I have heard that the unit comes stock with a soft-start. It is also my understanding that the shortest on duration is 1 minute.

So what I am looking for is a simple, cheap 1 minute on/ 1 minute off timer/ wave controller.
