DrMac's

drmaccorals.com - Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this place. I asked around and people from the DE/MD said that's the place to check out. I'm going to drop in and check them out while I'm on vacation in MD next week. 15 frags for $99, you pick (on site special)- thats nuts... why do we live in upstate NY again?

I think it is all the time. You can get 12 for $99 plus shipping too, their choice. Take a look around their site

The trip was good, but I was a little disappointed. I dont want to be a downer, and I'm sure it was probably my particular experience but..
FWIW The facility was great and there were some really nice livestock and some very nice (more expensive) corals.
This may be because a NewJersey club had been there the day before and wiped them out but the 15 for $99 deal wasn't really available. I asked and they basically told me the prices were as posted. (other deals but not the 15 for $99). Not sure if it was becasue stock was low or what... but with a high enough qty it would end up the same or cheaper had it been you guys (a group buying 36+ frags).
With the grrenhouse frag stock they had I'm not sure I would have done it anyways. I'm no expert, and maybe it was the greenhouse natral lighting, but alot of the corals in the greenhouse looked pretty bleached. They were pretty much all SPS. I could barely tell what colors some of them were. Again, maybe only because they were picked clean and stock was low.
In any case I still spent 1.5hrs looking around and I ended up getting 4 really nice zoo clusters and a ricordea for ~$120. I'm definately glad to have made the trip, but think I would have been a little upset had it been an 6+ hour drive. It was still really an overall good experience, and I'll definately go back and be ordering online
