i can't find my nemo!!

i just noticed last night that i hadn't seen my nemo since the day before. and he is nowhere to be found today. i have a 30 g tank with not very many hiding places behind the rockwork. he's always been my most active fish and in your face wanting food for him to be hinding or missing is really strange. what could this mean? do i assume he's dead. water quality is fine, all my other fish are doing great and all my corals are doing fine. i have a condy that about 2 in in diameter and my clown fish was about that size. i doubt he could've eaten him and i would've noticed it the same day. i'm thouroughly confused and don't know what to do.

Go to Blockbuster video and look in the children's section. I think there is an instructional video on how to solve your very problem.

sorry i just like calling him nemo. i'll say clown fish from now on. i have a six line wrasse, a coral beauty and a watchman goby. none of the other fishes have been bothering him. he's actually always been the boss of the tank.

Now that's funny VA.

Maybe he's lost.

Nemos don't typically hide too much, so I wish you luck. Did you look around on the floor or in your filter or overflow?

Maybe he has been abducted by ailiens! Call the FBI! lol.

really though, if you try some yummy meaty food maybe he will pop up. Could he have gotten smushed under rock?

Possibly a jumper? Check around the tank to make sure he didn't do a reverse Nestea plunge.

What kind of tank and filtering system do you have?
I had lost 2 fish for 3 weeks till I found them alive in the filter compartment of my biocube!

If you have an overflow check in there he might have jumped over.

You're not a dentist by chance are you? If so blame the pelican

Seriously though, he most likely died and then was eaten by the anemone.

I had one jump out. Found him too late. Always keep the lid down now. I frequently have one jump into the back compartment of the Nanocube also.

I guess "Finding Nemo" did for reefkeeping what the "Save the Whales" campaign did for the whales...

Before the campaign nobody knew or cared about whales. Today everyone understands their fragility...

Before "Finding Nemo" I am pretty sure most kids especially did not know or care for reef fish/corals. Now I walk past a public aquarium and I see a dozen kids shout out "There is Nemo and Dory, mommy! Come quick!" Before the movie those kids would most probably have just walked pass...

I am sorry but I cannot see how naming a fish can be so frustrating?
