Steel stands skinned in wood
I notice when looking at the big tank forum that a lot of the tank stands are made from steel tubing and skinned in wood. I'm thinking about setting up a new tank (roughly 80 gallons). Are these style stands quite a bit more expensive than just a solid wood stand? I like the idea of using a steel stand and attaching the wood with magnets or something along those lines so I can remove the entire wood skin for full access under the tank.
Any thoughts on this? any idea of potential costs for doing this on an 80 gallon tank? |
