Hey you guys with kiddy pool or rubbermaid systems

I was wanting to know how you run these systems.Do you use dsb or plenum or bare bottom?
If I could get a couple of system descriptions and pics that would be great.(I want to know the lighting, filtration, sand bed, that sort of thing)
One other thing, can someone direct me to some info on plenum systems(how they work, how to set it up)?
Thanks in advance for the help

Our Rubbermaids run bare bottom w/ Live rock. We are also experimenting with "sand in a bucket", jury is still out on that.

how do you guys keep your systems so clean? I have a similer setup. but i got a 10' horse feeding trough from tractor supply and i have a 110gal sump/refugium i have sand rock and some mangroves and cheta in the refugium and the 10' trough is where my frags are and the alge is terrible! I keep having problems with alge covering my frags. i do have snals and hermits in there and plenty of water flow. any ideas?

not enough flow and too many nutrients is my first quess and there is the light thing and the temp thing and ....also when pics are taken systems might be less than a year old. theres nothing like the look of a fresh system Keeping things constant is the most important. Fresh clean white eggcrate is just that.

oh another clue to a fresh system is there is no visible rust on metals that are clearly non-stainless
