Substrate advice

I have a 225g SPS dominated reef tank with a DSB. I am going to remove the DSB this weekend. I've always had a DSB in the past and am looking for some advice on the type, size, and depth of the new substrate.

I'm interested in enough of a sandbed to cover the bottom of the tank and to be a large enough grain size to avoid "sandstorms." I have pretty strong water flow from 2 closed loops each run by a Dart Sequence pump and a sump return line pushed by an Iwaki 70.

Thanks for any help.
