Coral have literally stopped growing

I don't understand, my coral have not grown in the past 4 months. They have stayed the same size and look very healthy. My water parameters are perfect, accoring to Randy Holmes ranges. As long as the water is within the parameters it is ok right? Does it matter that it fluctuates a lot? Should I get a doser?

I am debating whether or not my MH is not producing enough light. When do you know when to change MH bulbs?

how much and how often do you feed them? what corals do you have by the way?

If it fluctuates that is bad. You want all your parameters to be perfectly steady even if they are within acceptable ranges.

i'd think that iodine and calcium are pretty important.

Check to see if your local club has a par meter you can borrow. If your par is out of whack, then it's time for you to change your bulbs.

You can also use papona (not sure on spelling) to help increase growth. Keep in mind that this may cause a spike an ammonia and nitrate.

also, what size tank, what lights, how old is the bulb?

I wouldnt go longer than a year on any halide bulb. How old are they and what type?
