Redid the fish room...

Well, I got my new frag tank from GEO on Friday. I have spent the last 3 days redoing my fish room.

I combined the two systems to use 1 fuge, 1 frag tank, and 1 150g sump.

I am also going to be only using 1 skimmer now and will have all my water treated by the 2x UV sterilzers, Calcium Reactor, Carbon, and Phosban reactor.

Things I have left over that I may be selling....

1 x 40l tank drilled 2x at the top Glass
1 x 30g tank drilled 2x at the bottom with stand up skim drains
1 x Lifereef skimmer rated at 800 gallons
1 x 100g poly stock tank

Anyway, haven't decided if I am selling any of it or all of it yet.

Hope to get the room cleaned up tomorrow so I can take some pictures.

Geo said you had a cool fish room. I would like to check it out sometime if you don't mind having company.

Well, I guess I am going to sell some of this stuff off.

The skimmer is the one seen in this picture.

and here is pic of it when I was using it in my old fish room.

It is rated at 700 gallons and here is a link to the specs. The model is VS3-60. (Retail info VS3-60 with 4MDQX-SC pump: $879.00 (without pump $769.00)) Also you can buy an extender to make it handle 1500 gallons.

http://www.lifereef.com/venturi.html

I am looking for $350 for the skimmer.

A few other items are already spoken for. I am waiting on a response on the 30g tank and the poly tub.

I got almost everything done in the fish room tonight except for UV and lighting. I intend on finishing that tomorrow and then I will take pics. I can't bring myself to post pics with extension cords everywhere and lighting laying on the edges of tanks and such.

Cward, just let me know when you want to come by. I am sure we can arrange something. I would love to have your input. I hope to someday have a Tank of the Month. I will need many pointers before I am ready for that though and about 2 years of grow out time.

With the redo of my fish room I purchased 12 more 10' tubes and 11 more 5' tubes of PVC. I have 1 2" tube left and 1 1.5" tube left as well as some scraps.

ok... here are some pics of the fish room... can't say they really do it justice, but as an idea the room is roughly 10x15. I have a 150g sump with 2 x 56w UV's under the stand.

My Reactors... all world famous GEO!

a shot as you walk into the room

my controller

the world famous GEO skimmer

lighting for the frag tank... 6x T5 and 1 250w MH in a luminarc

front view of the 4x4x1 frag tank

shot of the 100g fuge that is always filled with many types of macros

and my RO DI system with add on Dual DI canisters and dual in/out TDS meters

thanks Norm. I'm still using the fuge I bought from you. I got tired of cleaning all the separate tanks. Plus I really liked the setup you had.

That is quite a change since I saw it last. I'll have to swing by at some point to check it out. The frag tank looks great.

Yes it is completely different. Let me know when you want to come by Eric. I really think it will be much much easier to work with now. Also I only have 1 frag tank to deal with instead of 4, and only 1 fuge to deal with instead of 3. and only 1 sump to deal with instead of 2.
