Here is a pic of my Purple Slimer growing over my Bali Slimer:
I was afraid that it would killed that Bali branch since the Purple Slimer encrusting fast... but somehow that Bali Slimer branch has managed to outgrow the PS! Another shot from a different angle: and here the teal Austera encrusting over the top of the granulosa (the brown looking coral): |

Wow, your tank is truly awesome. I love to see how fast sps corals can fill in a tank; its really cool to see how they grow and compete for space. Thats something you really cant find in LPS tanks.. I'm jealous

Purple polyps with sharp tips birdnest from Travis at Upscale: My Efflo collection: Lime green with Pink tips Efflo: my favorite: Green with brigh purple tips Efflo: this efflo didn't grow much in the 1 1/2 yrs I had it, but then started taking off in just the last 6 months.. it is already forming the 2nd layer now: Closeup from the top: Yellow (?) base w/ purple polyps: Got it as a frag from a friend that said it supposed to be yellow.. It stayed brown for 2 yrs and grew super slow until I recently moved it to right infront of the Tunze 6100 and it started to change color and grow much better! You can see the a little of the base of my 4th efflo in the top right corner somehow I missed taking pic of it last time. |
