I also would like to know peoples experience with yellow tangs and ich. I talked to a guy at the fish store today and in his experience the are REALLY prone to ick and the least little stress will induce it. What are other thoughts on this. He kinda scared me of getting on.

ime they seem to be one of the more hardy tangs. The main thing is feed it a healthy diet their more prone to HLLE disease.

Yes but make sure he has food to eat. If your rocks are covered with purple alge you might not have anything for it to pick on. I feed my tang with a food clip.

Yes I was kinda worried about that. I do not have any algae in my tank for the tang to graze on. In this case what and how often should I feed? I have a lot of questions but I am trying to do research BEFORE I bring home the fish so I will be prepared. Also the guy at the fish store said if the psuedo could stress out the tang and give it ich. He thought I should get rid of the pseudo before I get the tang. What do you think?

i have a yellow tang in my 75 and he's perfectly happy, just make sure he can easily swim on both sides of your live rock, that'll give him alot more swimming room being able to dodge around the rock..
