ThE StArT Of My 120 BB sPs TaNk

Just to let you see how big a 120 cube is 30X30X31HIGH. The tank was built by glasscages.com and they even used 1/2 glass all around with 3/4 bottom. I can't tell you how heavy it was. Yes it was very well made. I am very happy with it.
This is the wall it will be going behind

This is the room unfinished.

My daughters by the cube.

This is the room finished and the cube waiting for me to start the stand construction.

Can you go into a little more detail about the build quality of the tank? Some pics of the seams, euro bracing and trim would be greatly appreciated!!

Everything went very well and I had no problems what so ever. The staff could use some English lessons but I speak Spanish so it was not hard for me to communicate with them. Lisa the girl who helped me was so nice that I even gave her a big Hugh out of enjoyment. The tank is very well made and the plastic molding that goes around the tank is the only draw back only because I have to remove it for my installation and the silicon that holds it in place is plentiful. The seems look very good and neat I only hope that the tank holds water There is some silicone smudges here and there on the sides and 2 finger prints on the front but it was nothing the razor could not remove. Until next time the stand construction and the cutting of the wall. Wait to the wife see that

Here is the OM squirt that I have installed on the tank. If you want to have one on your tank please set a side 3 to 4 hours to do the job right. This was not user freindly But I know in the long run it will do wounders for my SPS.
Make sure to place a cardboard under the fittings so that the extra PVC glue does not drip into the tank.

make sure you lay out everything on the floor or flat surface before you glue it together just to make sure it has the right connections. One mistake could cost you more time and money.

Here is everything set up for the returns

here is the back veiw

here is the finshed product.

I don't know if its just me or the angle you took the picture at but that glass bracing along the top doesn't look like it's secure (ie there's a gap!)

Btw what is with that plug? No GFI??? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm?

Anyways nice looking tank. I await plenty o pictures.

How comes you didn't drill the top of the tank. You could of run the piping thru the holes into the tank.

For OM Squirt, you should add some true union ball valves, this will make it easier to service the om.

Are you going to have any flow on the bottom of the tank?

name of skimmer? that thing looks huge

Never crossed my mind at the time i ordered the tank. I was going to go with a scwd or a seaswirl. Then someone around here can't rember who told me to look into a OM squirt.
