Perry, I just put in an order with Magnavore for a 6 ER since my old original MV4 gave up the shop ... great magnet, I wish they still made them but Jack said they changed the way the magnets are imbedded. If yours is an 8ER, what are you asking for it?

Hi Robin, I think it is a magnavore 8 and not 8ER. I believe magnavore make ER only for magnets 6ER and below.
The magnet I'm selling comes with extra pads about 8 pads left for acrylic that I bought seperately. I bought the magnet in feb. I'm selling it for $100. Dont' have picture of the pad but here is a link for the pad http://www.aquacave.com/detail.aspx?ID=422

I'm still using it though, but I'm planning to change it with a floating type cleaner magnet. My tank is just too high, so when the magnet get seperated and falls at the bottom of the tank it is too hard for me to reach the magnet. I have to dip my face in the water just to reach it.

xinumaster: can you meet tonight or tomorrow? Also, can you post a picture next to some common object so I can get a feel for the size?

They are overpriced, but what can you do... All the ones with earth magnets are priced in that range.
Gresham: thanks for the link. I found that after I posted |

Interesting. MagFloats are reasonably priced, and then BAM! $125 for the large one!

That magnet is $150 cheaper compared to what I'm going to replace it with.
I can meet you tomorrow after 7pm.

That might not be a magnavore. It might be the Algae Fee brand. Magnet on a magnavore is sealed with a plastic casing not wood.
