I certainly am pushing the issue. I miss the hobby a lot.

The big 2 part debate right now is "if" we jump back in, how big or small do we go. The 120 was beautiful and a perfect size in my opinion.

My wife decided she wanted to look back on all the money spent on the last tank and actually was not happy with her findings. Oopsy Then she decided to go through "ALL" the reciepts from the beginning....needless to say, hubby spent a lot of money and she has a bit of a bad taste in her mouth with this hobby right now. The second part to the debate. Now, she had an idea of what was being spent, but never really looked at it because I was happy and home all the time (well after weeks and weeks of being at Rod's putting it together Anyway, she liked the fact I was home all the time. Right now I motocross and am gone every weekend for races and at least twice a week at night riding/practicing. The problem I have is if I do the hobby again, the motocross would have to go bye bye, which would make her happy of course, but maybe not me.

Who knows. Part of me says just sell the bike and do the hobby and see what happens. The other part says, enjoy the dirt bike while you can (can't ride forever) and then get back in.

Ride the bike in the summer, Deal with the tank mostly in the winter

Did think of that, but my AN*L self will not allow me to leave the tank unattended during the summer like it would be while racing and riding. When I do something I do it 110% and focus on it or I don't do it at all. Just the way I am I guess.

I think the way to do this is sell the bike at the end of the season which will be in a month or 2, then get the tank while the bike is gone. Can't ride in the winter really anyway unless you go indoors and those types of tracks are just to small to have fun on for me. Have the tank over the winter and within 4-5 months before riding season starts again, I would be able to start putting a couple nice things in it and hopefully it will cure the need to get back on the bike.

I already called Rod yesterday to have him put something together for me. I am thinking keep this one smaller and do a 40g breeder with his onyx clown and a rose anemone and then populate the rest of the tank with SPS again. Nice and small and easily managed and won't be near the cost of the others. She told me last night how much I spent. Was surprised myself actually at the amount. This one will be a much smaller scale for sure.

The 120g would be awesome to do again, but we agreed this time a small tank would be better and possibly more enjoyable, not to mention much less money. Nothing has been decided yet on if we return, but if and when we do, it will be a 40g breeder.

I am just happy she is open to it again.

Go get your 40B from petco or Petland now while they're doing the $1/gallon sale.

It'll help you convince they wife that your trying to be a little more cash conscious this time around.
