Poll on feeding tangs: What & how often?

Just curious--I'm at one year anniversary with my purple tang.

In addition to food for the community (flake and frozens), I feed pretty large amounts of seaweed on clips ~5x/week. Mostly brown seawood, but also throw in a little bit of red and green additionally.

As an aside, my tangs also eat a little chaeto I keep in the tank--for a while I thought they had worms!

What you're feeding sounds good 5x a week is very good on the sheets! I personally like to feed mainly red cause its really rich in Vitamin A.

Besides Nori, brown and red algae sheets (2-3 times a week), my custom frozen blend (once a day) and what they find on the rocks (constant), my tangs love a sprinkle of Dainichi reef veggie pellets (whenever I think about it and they look like they are begging). I just picked up an autofeeder so that it can do the sprinkling for me.
The pellets are very small and as they sink they get caught in the current. The tangs seem to love "the chase" and race to catch them before they hit the ground.

haha, I like to switch it up for them to ensure they are getting a balanced diet. I'm not big on feeding frozen so I make sure I have alot of selection

Dont want to sound rude, but this might be better answered in your own thread instead of in this one which is addressing feeding tangs and has nothing to do with fish diseases.

As to the question at hand, I feed pure spirulina flake, nori sheets every day, and whatever flake and frozen food they scavenged while I was feeding everything else which included mysis shrimp, and krill mainly.
