ok here are some more updates, finally after so many days finished the chiller and rest of the plumbing.
sheetrock was cutout then bulks were installed. ball and gates valves were used throughtout the plumbing for fine tuning.

intake and outlet for chiller with bulks

here's the Fish Room along with 100gal of plumbing

refugium is the last set of plumbing needed to be done after that i'm a happy camper

Not bad considering it's your first tank. Are you kidding me? Wow, I don't think mine would look this nice on my next build! Love the clean setup! Keep up the good work.

The fact that, when looking at hat picture, all that plumbing seems "perfectly normal" to me is suddenly, ... very frightening

... there must be a pill or shock threapy or something available for us ... no?

sorry Bax, fat chance. No pill will fix this. I know, I have tried!

And Bart, I love seeing those $2 gate valves. Warms my heart.

Man, I have spent the last few hours going over all 34 pages of this forum with my wife. We were just amazed. I want to dump my 29g and uprade now more than ever. However, I have years before I see that happening. Awesome Job, can't wait for more pics.

Why does this disease never leave me !

The fact that i think about building a new home just to have a in wall tank with fish room is crazy..... will it happen? Yes, most likely it will. I have the tank sitting in my garage awaiting the new house. It is a true sickness of perfectionists and problem solvers.... which is me. Why me though?

Plumbing is beautiful.... almost as much as the Tank is beautiful !

Incredible tank!!

I have a few questions, how does the water flow in your three tier system. Does it flow from the top one to the middle one and then to the bottom one via overflow. Or are they each connected to the main sump, where they receive water from and then return it back.

I am also assuming that you have practiced cutting the power and checked for flodding right?

Looking amazing,

MJD

3 tank, overflows to main sump then return from enclosed baffle in main sump. prior to setting all rocks and sand i had tested everything including power outages, overflows, current, leaks and etc.

main sump 150gal also have two overflow drain tied into main house sewer system in case of event of flooding. sump was tested in numerous ways, fill it half way then turning off all the pump at once to see how fast water will rise. then pumps was turned off one by one to see its operation how it would perform with just one pump at a time and with all pumps stop working my sump will not overfill.

Oh, I've got the beer Bart!

If I do a move, I think I would build 2 x 5000g tanks, one FOWL, one Reef, side-by-side so it looks like one tank...

Yup! ... You're way beyond the help any shock therapy can provide

i know that might not work, but i was thinking about 240v so that way i'll feel just a little bit. probably grab me for few second, but long enough to shock some sense and telling me what the hell am i doing with a reef tank. this is not the only road and more like a detour.

Bart...Do you have any pictures of the new fish in the quarantine tank? Is that tank running on it's own, or is it tied into all of the other tanks?
