Cleaning coraline off of plastic
OK, I have a 14g Biocube that I'm gonna break down and make it in to a FW tank. I'm having algae problems and just don't have the time to fight it right now. For a tank this small and with no protien skimmer I need to be more diligent with water changes(something I'm not). i'm gonna transfer my livestock to another tank of mine. Now I'm trying to figure out how to get the coraline off of everything. The glass won't be a problem(razor blade), but the background is plastic. So I'm wondering if there is an easy way to get coraline off of plastic? Is there something I can soak the tank in or clean it with that would still allow me to use it again(for fresh and maybe salt again)? Or is there another way? I don't want to try using a razor blade on the plastic and scratch it all up.

Yes, fill it up with FW and throw a gallon of vinegar in there, let it run overnight. All the coralline should be eaten away, any that's left will be very easy to remove.
Or drain it and use a washcloth soaked in vinegar to scrub the sides, though this is more labor intensive and rubbing the coralline may scratch the acrylic.

I'll be ok putting that much vinegar in it? I know that people use vinegar to clean their skimmers, just want to make sure that much will be fine.

You can clean it with freshwater after you use vinegar.

You can add vinegar right to the tank to lower PH. So it is safe rinsed.
