Skimmer question
Hello all, I have a question with my Aqua c remora skimmer. It has been non productive for a couple months now. Some say it is because I am running carbon, and with carbon you see less skimmer activity.
I added a bigger pump to it, and I can see the bubbles coming up the neck of the collection cup, they just don't make it all the way to the top of it. Any hints would be great. The pump I added was a rio 1800 which has a gph of 380 to my skimmer. Thanks, Fuzz

Fuzz, sell it and buy a decent skimmer. These thinks are terrible imo. Sorry man, i've had one and it pulled about a cup every two weeks or so. My skimmer now that was 1/3 the price pulls 1-3cups per day of darker skimmate then the remora. And i had a mag 7 on mine.

Well, i got a via aqua in sump sk200 and have modded the crap out of it : ), and i'm still modding it, its pulling darker skimmate then the remora ever did, except its pulling 2cups or more of it per day. Check out the woot lol odyssea thread, i have the mods on there. Its long, but if your a DIY, it will make an awesome skimmer for cheap.
