Aquapod 12g. Fan Question

I currently have a 12g. with a burnt out fan that measures 60x60x25 and wondered if any one could tell me if a 80x80x25 would work, if I could make it work, or what? Thanks

I would look at the stealth fans they are pretty quiet. If you do a search on this forum you will find many of topics with this subject. I have a radio shack fan on mine right now but it is loud. I am going to replace it with 2 stealth 60X60X25. There is a quieter one out there but I cannot remember the brand but it does not move as much air. hth

SilenX iXtrema Pro is the quieter one with a little less flow. 2 of them on my tank and I cannot hear them at all. The only sound I hear is very low hum of my MJ pump. Absolutely the best to not hear those fans if you can get away with the lower air flow. They are 10CFM and the Stealth is 12CFM.

With the 80x80 I don't think the holes will line up. A 60x60 is your best bet.

Ok, I have been looking at this for a while, and would like a little more advice. My temps have been running around 83-85. I have looked on nanotuners and they have two options for the Silenx fans. One with 8db and 10cfm, the other is 16db and 18cfm. I plan on putting 2 of whichever one I get. I don't want to hear it. But I want the temp to come down. If hearing it means cooler, that's cool.

I believe the stock fans were around 32db...so no matter what one you get it is going to be quieter. If it were me...I'd go with the higher cfm
