Lighting Recommendations

Hey Everyone,

I'm currently running a SunPod 150 watt Metal Halide 14k on my Aquapod 24 gallon and I would like to supplement it with some other lighting (mainly Actinic and some other lighting between the two current extremes: somewhat dark to extremely bright...lol). However, I was wondering what would be the best method to go about doing this w/o spending a small fortune? Would a standard T-8 lighting fixture work w/ 420 Actinic bulb (until I can fully upgrade to something like a "Outer-Orbit Pro")? or spend a little more than the T-8 and get a "40 watt Satellite Compact Fluorescent" w/ my MH? What would you do?

Thanks Much!
